The government has urged Nepali people not to travel to Israel and Iran for foreign employment or visit, citing the ongoing belligerent situation in the two countries.
Issuing a travel advisory on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged Nepali citizens not to plan to travel to those countries.
“Nepali citizens who are preparing to travel to Israel and Iran for foreign employment or other purposes should not do so as long as the current belligerent situation persists,” the advisory said. “Nepali citizens who are preparing to travel to other countries in the Middle East, except Israel and Iran, for foreign employment or other purposes, should postpone such travels as long as the current complex situation persists.”
Similarly, the government has urged Nepali citizens in Israel and Iran to follow the instructions given by the respective governments and stay in safe places as much as possible.
The ministry has also stated that it is collecting details of those who wish to return to Nepal from those countries.
