With India's assistance, two Nepali nationals were rescued from Iran's Mashhad and have now arrived in New Delhi, India's capital, as confirmed by the Nepali Embassy.
The rescued individuals are Ganesh Pokharel and Suman Gaire. They were welcomed at the airport by officials from the Nepali Embassy and India's Ministry of External Affairs. The embassy stated that they departed for Butwal today.
Out of the 16 Nepalis in Iran, the rescue process for 11 individuals has advanced with India's support, according to Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The remaining are reported to be in an Iranian jail.
As the conflict between Israel and Iran intensifies, the Nepal government has also begun the process of evacuating Nepalis from Israel.
The government has started collecting details of Nepalis willing to return home, and as of Monday, 885 individuals registered their names, Foreign Minister Arzu Rana informed.
