Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has resumed its Kathmandu-Doha flights after Qatar reopened its airspace following a temporary closure due to heightened regional tensions.
The flights were suspended after Iran launched missile strikes on a US military base in Qatar on Monday night, prompting the Qatari government to issue a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) on Tuesday morning, citing potential war-related risks.
However, after Israel and Iran declared a ceasefire later on Tuesday, Qatar lifted the airspace restrictions, allowing NAC to operate its scheduled flight (RA-239/240) at 1:35 PM the same day. Passengers with booked tickets were accommodated on an alternate aircraft.
NAC has apologized for the inconvenience and announced that travelers who could not fly on June 23 due to the suspension are eligible for a free rescheduling or full refund on other regular NAC flights.
The airline assured passengers of its commitment to safety and smooth operations amid geopolitical uncertainties.
