Four people of a family died after a car they were traveling in plunged into a canal at Haldwani in the Indian State of Uttarakhand on Wednesday.
The deceased are three people including a newborn. The canal had been overfloated due to heavy rains, according to Indian media outlets.
A total of seven people were traveling in the ill-fated car. Three of them were critically injured. They have been hospitalized.
