Former Vice President of Nepali Congress Bimalendra Nidhi has said that the Former President Bidya Bhandari's return to active politics should be taken seriously.
Expressing his views at the meeting of the Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of Nepali Congress in Sanepa, leader Nidhi stated that this issue is not only the matter of concern for CPN (UML) but that of entire Nepali political parties and system.
"Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari's return to active politics has been the talk of the town, these days. Whether it impacts internal power struggles of UML is a different case. What matters the most is the Nepali political system, her return into active politics might impact."
He further said that NC should take this issue seriously, regardless of its possible impact in UML.
"Should the former President return into active politics in the federal democratic republican setup that we have adopted? Whether her return into active politics will divide or unite UML is a different case. Former President's return into active politics should be taken seriously and pondered over whether it breaches the existing political setup," he said.
