Bhotekoshi floods disrupt 200-MW hydroelectricity

The flood in the Bhotekoshi River has incurred a massive damage to four hydropower projects including the 111-megawatt Rasuwagadhi Hydropower.

According to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Chilime Hydropower Project, Baburaja Maharjan, the floods in the Bhotekoshi River caused massive damages to the Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project.

The 111-maegawatt hydropower project has fully been damaged, said Maharjan.

"Apart from the Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project, 60-MW Trishuli-3 'A', 21-MW Trishuli 21, and 15-MW Benighat Hydropower Project have also sustained damages," Maharjan told Nepalkhabar, "The 200-MW hydropower projects have fully been disrupted due to floods from today.
