The number of people missing in the Bhotekoshi River flood has reached 20 after two more were identified missing. According to the latest update as of 3:50 PM, two individuals from Gorkha went missing, bringing the total number of missing to 20, as informed by the Rasuwa Police.
Those missing from Gorkha are Dil Bahadur Tamang and Dhan Bahadur Tamang from Palungtar Municipality-6. Earlier, according to Armed Police Force Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa, 18 people—nine Nepalis and six Chinese—working at the explosives yard -- and three security personnel had been reported missing.
According to the Nepali Army, 55 people stranded in the Bhote Koshi flood on Tuesday morning in Rasuwa have been rescued. The rescue operation was carried out with the joint efforts of the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and locals. Among the rescued, 51 are men and 4 are women.
Similarly, three police personnel involved in the rescue operation from the Area Police Office, Timure, Rasuwa, have also gone missing in the flood. Additionally, the flood has swept away more than 100 vehicles in Rasuwagadhi, according to the District Police Office, Rasuwa.

According to District Police Office, Rasuwa, the heavy rainfall that occurred in the Chinese territory triggered floods in Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-2, Rasuwagadhi around at 3 AM today. The flood swept away the Miteri Bridge, and 7-8 vehicles parked at an EV charging station in Gosaikunda-2.
The Rasuwa Customs Office yard and the dam of the Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project have also been damaged, police informed.
