Kathmandu Gurkhas, one of the franchise teams in the Nepal Premier League (NPL), has appointed Monty Desai as its coach for its second season.
Desai, who existed the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) after it did not renew his contract as its head coach, is returning to Nepal once again.
Kathmandu Gurkhas said it signed the contract with Indian national Desai as its coach at 6 pm today.
After having signed the contract Kathmandu Gurkhas, Desai said he is quite excited to meet with his supporters at TU Cricket Ground while appreciating the Nepali supporters and cricket fans.
Karan KC is the marquee player of Kathmandu Gurkhas. Apart from KC, players in the team include Rashid Khan, Pratik Shrestha, Dipesh Kandel, Bhim Sarki and Shahab Alam. The remaining players will be recruited through auction.
