Dr. Phani Raj Pathak, the press secretary of former King Gyanendra Shah, has removed the press notes addressing the ex-king as 'Shree 5 Maharajadhiraj' from his Facebook.
Pathak has deleted the notices from his Facebook wall and kept only personal pictures.
On last Friday, the police had interrogated him for issuing unauthorized notices and writing on social media addressing the former king as 'Shree 5 Maharajadhiraj,' among other matters.
He was taken into custody in the morning, and the Kathmandu District Police Office questioned him throughout the day. The police released him only after making him sign a written commitment not to repeat such mistakes in the future, handing him over to his family after 8 PM.
According to Spokesperson Apil Raj Bohara of the District Police Office, Pathak has been instructed not to address Gyanendra Shah as 'Shree 5 Maharajadhiraj' from now on, to remove any posts referring to him as 'Maharajadhiraj' on Facebook, to refrain from uploading such posts in the future, and to avoid mentioning such titles in any future notices.
Pathak had been publicly addressing Shah as 'Shree 5 Maharajadhiraj'—a title not recognized by the Constituion of Nepal --in various notices and posts.
