The identity of one among two Nepali students killed in a recent car accident in the US has been revealed as a resident of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City, Dang.
On July 13, at around 9 PM local time on Saturday night, a car accident occurred on US Highway 80, west of Louisiana Highway 507, resulting in the deaths of two Nepali citizens—22-year-old Rajan Yadav and 20-year-old Rojin Oli.
Among them, Oli's home address has been identified. He was from Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-4, Rakshachaur, as confirmed by his uncle, Poshan Oli, in an interview with Nepalkhabar.
"There are only his parents and one elder brother at home. Rojin had gone to the US just 10 months ago to study," Poshan shared.
He was pursuing medical studies in the US, according to Poshan.
Both Oli and Yadav were students at Louisiana Tech University. In the accident, Yadav and Oli died on the spot.
Poshan Oli said that Yadav, who studied alongside his nephew Rojin, was said to be from Sarlahi, but exact details about his family have not yet been confirmed.
According to international media outlets, amid hurricanes and heavy rainfall, their car hit a tree and veered off the road.
