Vice-Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Mukunda Shyam Giri, has been relieved of his responsibilities.
Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden on Friday relieved Giri of his responsibilities as the Vice Chairman and the Central Committee member of the party, informed party Spokesperson Mohan Shrestha, who is also the chief of the publicity department. Giri was the nominated vice-chairman of the party.
On July 9, Lingden had also removed Nawaraj Subedi from his responsibilities as the chairman of the disciplinary committee and Sugun Sundar Lawoti as the spokesperson.
Meanwhile, in a press note, RPP leaders including another Vice Chairman Bikram Pandey, General Secretary duo Dhawal Shumsher Rana and Kunti Shahi objected to chairman Lingden's action against Subedi and Lawoti, stating that it is against the party statute and unity.
