CPN (Maoist Center) has decided to nominate party’s Senior Vice Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha as a minister in the new government led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
According to Krishna Bahadur Mahara, the Vice Chairman and Spokesperson of the party, Shrestha will be appointed as a minister as well as the Deputy Prime Minister. However, his ministerial portfolio is yet to be decided.
Shrestha is also the member of the National Assembly. He has already served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Newly elected Prime Minister Prachada is taking oath of office and secrecy at 4 pm today. He is planning to form a small cabinet today itself. According to sources, the CPN (UML) will have six ministerial portfolios in the new cabinet.
The new ruling coalition is holding a meeting prior to the swearing-in ceremony.
