United States Ambassador to Nepal Dean R Thompson has congratulated CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' on his appointment as Prime Minister.
Taking to Twitter this (Monday) afternoon, Ambassador Thompson congratulated newly appointed Prime Minister Prachanda.
Prachanda was appointed the Prime Minister by President Bidya Devi Bhandari last (Sunday) evening following his claim for PM with the support of 169 Members of Parliament (MPs). He is set to be sworn-in at 4pm today.
Extending congratulations, the US ambassador said, "Looking forward to further strengthening our 75-yr partnership and working together to support democracy, human rights, and economic growth."
