Seven-party alliance meeting underway in New Baneshwar

A meeting of the seven-party alliance led by CPN (UML) is taking place at the federal parliament building in New Baleshwar.

The meeting is holding discussions on the sharing of portfolios of the ministries.

The parties have started sharing the portfolios after Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal was appointed as the 44th prime minister of Nepal.

He is taking oath of office and secrecy at the Office of the President at Sheetal Niwas at 4 pm today.

Those lending support to Prachanda include CPN (UML)-78, CPN (Maoist Center)-32, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP)-20, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)-14, Janata Samajbadi Party (RJP)-12, Janamat Party-6, and Nagarik Unmukti Party-3, independents (includong Amaresh Kumar Singh, Prabhu Sah)-3.
