Bhattarai duo recommended as secretary at law, Dahal Deputy Attorney General

The Judicial Service Commission has recommended the promotion of two joint secretaries at law to the position of secretary.

A meeting of the commission held on Monday morning under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut recommended promoting Nirmala Adhikari Bhattarai to the position of secretary and assigning her as the secretary of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. She is currently the acting secretary.

Joint Secretary Indira Dahal Bhattarai has been recommended for promotion to secretary at the Law Commission.

Surya Raj Dahal has been recommended for promotion to the position of Deputy Attorney General. He is currently the acting Deputy Attorney General. After the promotion, he will be appointed as the secretary of the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons.

Similarly, Khem Raj Gyawali, secretary of the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons, has been transferred to the Office of the Attorney General. He is the Deputy Attorney General.

The meeting also recommended promoting Bimal Paudel to the position of Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court and Man Bahadur Karki to the position of Joint Registrar.

They will take charge of their respective offices once their recommendations are endorsed by the Council of Ministers.
