A motorcycle-borne young man died after being hit by a water tanker near Pepsicola in Kathmandu.
The incident occurred around 8:45 PM last night, resulting in the death of 25-year-old Nawaraj Tumshing from Roshi Village Municipality-3, Kavre, confirmed the District Police Range, Kathmandu.
The accident happened when a water tanker, Ba. Pra. 01-004 Ka 3287, heading toward Pepsicola from Jadibuti collided with a motorcycle, Ba. Pra. 02-033 Pa 2548, coming from the opposite direction at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32. Tumsing, who was riding pillion on the motorcycle, sustained severe injuries.
He died while undergoing treatment at KMC Hospital.
In the accident, the motorcycle driver, 26-year-old Santosh Magar from Roshi-3, Kavre, was also injured. Police reported that his condition is out of danger.
Following the accident, the tanker driver, 47-year-old Ram Bahadur Thapa from Dhading, was arrested by the Koteshwor Police Sector.
