TikTok, a video-based social media platform, has removed 1,876,563 videos in the first quarter of 2025 in Nepal alone.
The social media platform removed 211 million videos worldwide, which comes around 0.9 percent of the total videos uploaded.
While 184,378,987 videos were removed through automated detection technology, 7,525,184 videos were reinstated following an additional review.
Among those videos removed, 30.1 percent used content suitable only for adults breaching the TiKTok community guidelines, according to the report.
Similarly, 11.5 percent of videos were found violating platform security and moral standards while 15.6 percent of videos were found breaching the confidential and security regulations.
Likewise, 45.5 percent of videos were removed on the charge of spreading wrong information while 13.8 percent of videos were removed for flagging them as edited and AI-generated.
TikTok has been making public the Community Guidelines Enforcement Report. It informs about actions taken against TikTok users who violated community guidelines.
