The Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) has decided to celebrate the 31st International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples for a week.
NEFIN’s President Gelje Lama Sherpa informed that they would observe the Day for a week. He shared it at a press conference on Sunday.
The week-long program will begin from August 9. NEFIN General Secretary Divas Rai mentioned that in addition to the main event to be organized at National Conference Hall of Bhrikutimandap, there will have cultural pageantry reflecting diverse identities of indigenous communities. Display of native food items will also feature during the celebration, he added.
