Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has recommended senior advocate Dr. Dinmani Pokharel for the post of Attorney General.
Prachanda has sent a letter to the Office of the President recommending President Bidya Bhandari for the appointment of Pokharel to the post.
Pokharel, who is close to the CPN (Maoist Center), is getting a plum post after Prachanda took charge as the prime minister.
The post was lying vacant after Khamma Bahadur Khati, who was appointed to the post as Attorney General during the Deuba government, stepped down on Monday.
