With the appointment of five more ministers by Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya, the cabinet of Bagmati Province has taken a full shape on Friday.
Province Chief Deepak Prasad Devkota today appointed ministers to five ministries under the government led by Nepali Congress on the recommendation of Baniya.
Following the appointment, Province Chief Devkota administered the oath to the newly appointed ministers amidst a ceremony today.
Binu Rayamajhi has been appointed as the Minister for Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Suresh Shrestha as the Minister for Culture and Tourism, Kanchan Chandra Bade as the Minister for Social Development, Urmila Nepal as the Minister for Youth and Sports, while Prabhat Tamang has been appointed as the Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning.
In Bagmati Province, the government consists of 14 ministries, with the NC holding eight—including the Chief Minister's Office—while the UML holds the remaining six.
Two ministers from NC, including the Chief Minister, and six ministers from UML were appointed on August 5. They assumed their respective offices on the same day.
