Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is leaving for a 5-day official visit to China today at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The Prime Minister is visiting northern neighbor to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit to be held in Tianjin, China from August 31 to September 1.
The China visit delegation includes Prime Minister Oli's wife Radhika Shakya, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Raghuji Pant, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey, former Deputy Prime Minister and MP Purna Bahadur Khadka, former Minister and Economic and Development Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada, former Minister and MP Chhabilal Bishwakarma and high-ranking officials of the Government of Nepal.
Briefing the parliament meeting on Friday, Prime Minister Oli said he is scheduled to hold meetings with heads of various countries, including Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, during the visit.
After completing the visit and programs, Prime Minister Oli will return home on September 3, wrapping up his China visit.
