NC holding CWEC meeting today

The Nepali Congress (NC) Central Work Execution Committee (CWEC) is scheduled to meet on Sunday.

The CWC meeting will be held at the NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba's private residence in Budhanilkantha, according to party Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel.

Office bearers and members of the CWEC are taking part in the meeting to discuss contemporary issues.

The meeting scheduled for 9 am today will discuss the upcoming by-elections to be held on November 3. The by-elections are being held in two places – Rupandehi Constituency -3 and Manang-1 (b) constituency. The post of Rupandhi 3 is lying vacant after Member of Parliament (MP) representing Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Deepak Bohara passed away while Manag-1 (b) is vacant after former Province Assembly member Rajiv Gurung alias 'Manange' was sent to jail.

The by-elections are being held to fill out these vacant posts.
