PM Oli resigns after criticisms from all quarters

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has tendered his resignation.

Prime Minister Oli submitted his resignation to President Ramchandra Paudel following criticisms and protests from all quarters.

Prime Minister Oli had been on fire from all quarters after security personnel shot dead 20 individuals –18 in Kathmandu and two in Itahari, Sunsari.

Protestors have already barged into the federal parliament building to Singha Durbar. Earlier in the day, ministers and their family members were airlifted to a safe place after the protestors barged into the ministers' residential complex.

The death toll reached 20 after one more injured passed away in the course of treatment at Civil Service Hospital today. 

Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak resigned on Monday itself while other three ministers – Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary, Water Supply Minister Pradeep Yadav and Agriculture Minister Ram Nath Adhikari resigned a few hours ago.

On the second day of the demonstration staged by Gen Z on Tuesday, protestors are vandalizing and setting fires to houses of ministers and leaders.
