India welcomes new interim govt of Nepal

India has welcomed the formation of a new interim government in Nepal led by Ms Sushila Karki.

Issuing a press note following the formation of the new interim government, the Ministry of External Affairs of India on Friday said, "As a close neighbor, a fellow democracy and a long term development partner, India will continue to work closely with Nepal for the well-being and prosperity of our two people's and countries."

The Southern neighbor in the statement has expressed hope that this interim government would help fostering peace and sustainability.
