Minister for Energy, Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development, Kulman Ghising, has directed the Department of Roads to bring the Kodari Highway into operation in the next two days.
Minister Ghising directed Dr Bijaya Jaishi, Director General at the Department of Roads, over the telephone, according to the Minister's Ghising Secretariat.
"Minister Ghising has directed the Director General Jaisi to bring the disrupted Kodari Highway into operations within two days," said the Minister's Secretariat, "Remove the debris brought by landslides within two days even by adding necessary manpower."
The Department has also been directed to submit the progress report to him.
The Nepal-China Tatopani checkpoint has been disrupted after the debris brought by the landslide blocked the Kodari Highway.
