Prime Minister Sushila Karki has recommended five additional ministers to President Ramchandra Paudel.
According to the Prime Minister's secretariat, former Supreme Court Justice Anil Kumar Sinha has been recommended as the Minister for Industry and Additional Health Secretary Sangita Kaushal Mishra has been recommended as the Minister for Health.
Similarly, Madan Pariyar has been recommended as the Minister for Agriculture and Jagdish Kharel has been recommended as the Minister for Communication and Information Technology.
Pariyar is the former coordinator of the State Restructuring Commission. The commission, formed in 2068 BS, had submitted a report with a blueprint for 10 provinces. However, the report was not implemented after the Constituent Assembly itself was dissolved.
Jagdish Kharel is a journalist.
Mahabir Pun will take over the responsibility of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Pun is the founder of the National Innovation Center. He received the prestigious Roman Magsaysay Award for his initiative to provide wireless internet service to rural areas of Nepal.
Earlier, Rameshwar Khanal has been appointed as the Minister for Finance, Kulman Ghising as the Minister for Energy, and Om Prakash Aryal as the Minister for Home Affairs.
