Three people of the same family have died after a vehicle met with an accident at Chorkhola in Kapurkhot Rural Municipality-3 along the Rapti Highway in Salyan district.
According to the police, a Force Vehicle, Lu 2 Kha 6502, heading to Nepalgunj carrying a patient from Banphikot Rural Municipality-5, met with an accident around 4 am today.
The deceased have been identified as 68-year-old Pabi KC of Banphikot Rural Municipality-5, her nephews Prakash KC, 25, and Shashidhar KC, 27, of the same place. They died on the spot, according to the police.
Two others sustained injuries in the accident. The injured are Khagendra KC, 47, and Bina KC, 36. They are the son and daughter of Pabi KC.
"They are the son and daughter of Pabi KC. The accident occurred when they are taking Pabi to Nepalgunj for abdominal ailment," said ward char Manu Shahi of Banphikot Rural Municipality-5.
The vehicle has fallen some 400 meters down the road.
