Due to continuous rainfall, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has imposed a three-day restriction, effective today, on the operation of long-route vehicles and those entering or exiting the Kathmandu Valley.

Issuing an extremely urgent notice on Saturday morning, the Authority announced that the movement of long-distance vehicles and those entering/exiting the Kathmandu Valley from all districts in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces will be suspended from today, October 4 to October 6.

"We apologize for the inconvenience caused to passengers due to the suspension of long-distance vehicles and those entering/exiting the Kathmandu Valley. Furthermore, we urge everyone to refrain from non-essential travel during this period, to stay safely at home, and to obtain official and up-to-date information regarding the disaster from radio, television, online media, and social networks," reads the notice.
