Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, has expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by heavy rains in Nepal.

"The loss of life and damage caused by heavy rains in Nepal is distressing. We stand with the people and the Government of Nepal during this difficult time. As a friendly neighbor and first responder, India remains committed to providing any assistance that may be needed," PM Modi wrote in his official online platform X today.
