The meeting of Nepali Congress party office-bearers and former office-bearers is scheduled to be held at the central party office in Sanepa. The party's publicity department dhief, Min Bahadur Bishwakarma, confirmed that the meeting is set to take place at the central party office in Sanepa.

"The meeting of office-bearers and former office-bearers is taking place at 1 pm. The meeting will be held at the central party office," he told Nepalkhabar. Earlier, on Wednesday, party president Sher Bahadur Deuba had called the meeting for today. The location of the meeting had not been publicly disclosed. According to NC leaders, the meeting was initially planned to be held at Himalayan Hotel in Lalitpur.

"The party President will not attend the meeting, in view of security and his health condition. There had also been talks of holding the meeting at the Treasurer's residence," an NC office-bearer told Nepalkhabar, adding, "It was eventually decided to hold the meeting at the party office, keeping security in mind." The NC Party Central Office itself was damaged during the 'Gen Z' agitation on September 9.

As Deuba, who called the meeting, will not be participating, Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka will chair today's meeting. This is the first time Deuba, who was injured in the 'Gen Z' protests, has called a meeting of the NC office-bearers for 1 PM today.

"The party president is indeed sick," NC's Central Party Office Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel told Nepalkhabar. Following the 'Gen Z' agitation, there has been a growing demand within NC for a change of leadership.

The office-bearers' meeting will discuss the agendas for the Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting scheduled for October 12, the General Convention, elections, among other topics.
