Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.
Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center), has questioned why the Nepali Army did not save Singha Durbar from being burned.
In an interaction with editors on Friday, Prachanda questioned why the army, which protected the leaders, could not protect vital state institutions such as Singha Durbar.
"The army saved us. For that, we thank the Nepali Army," he said. "But we feel compelled to ask why the army that protected us didn't save crucial state facilities like Singha Durbar, the Supreme Court, the Parliament building, and Sheetal Niwas."
Meanwhile, he also claimed that the current situation is due to geopolitical reasons. "Geopolitical reasons are behind this situation. We are trapped because of the geopolitical circumstances," he stated.
He further mentioned that, following the election, he stressed the need to amend the constitution with the consensus of all parties to address the demands of the Gen Z generation.
