A proposal calling for a Special General Convention of Nepali Congress is set to be submitted on Tuesday.
A preparation has been made to register a petition with signatures of 51 percent of the General Convention representatives, led by two General Secretaries Gagan Kumar Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma, before the Central Committee meeting on Tuesday, informed leader Madhu Acharya.
Acharya, a Central Committee member close to General Secretary Thapa, told Nepalkhabar, "The Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting is being held tomorrow. We will register the petition, including the signatures demanding a special General Convention, prior to that meeting."

He stated that the date was set for tomorrow because the CWC meeting was postponed and the Central Work Execution Committee (CWEC) meeting was also prolonged, although the proposal was initially scheduled to be registered on October 10.
