Madhesh Province Chief Minister's resignation approved

Chief of Madhesh Province, Sumitra Subedi Bhandari, approved the resignation tendered by Chief Minister of the Province, Satish Kumar Singh on Tuesday.

According to the statement released by the Office of the Chief of Madhesh Province, Bhandari endorsed the resignation of CM Singh in accordance with Article 169 (10.a) of the Constitution.

It may be noted that CM Singh earlier today had announced his resignation without facing a vote of confidence, the last day to seek the trust motion from the Province Assembly.

Furthermore, the statement issued by Satrudhan Yadav, Secretary at Office of Province Chief, mentioned that as per the Article 169 (3) of the Constitution, the current Council of Ministers was entrusted with the responsibility of running the business of the Province's Council of Ministers until further notice.
