PM appoints Ram Rawal as press coordinator

Prime minister Sushila Karki has appointed Ram Bahadur Rawal, a seasoned journalist and commentator, as her press coordinator. 

Rawal was appointed to the post on Tuesday and assumed his responsibility from today, confirmed Prime Minister's Chief Personal Secretary Adharsha Kumar Shrestha.

He has been in an active journalism career for more than two decades and has recently resigned from the Editor of Nepalkhabar to join the Prime minister’s team. Prior to that he was with Galaxy Television Network, Kantipur Television Network, Nepal Magazine, Nepal FM Network and Drishti Weekly.

He has worked across print, broadcast and digital platforms in capacity of reporter and editor with special focus on parliamentary affairs, judiciary and bureaucracy. He has been widely acclaimed for his ground-breaking stories on Nepal’s peace process, constitution making and political transition. 

Rawal hails from Bajura and has earned MA, LLB from Tribhuvan University.
