Nepal Oli Corporation (NOC), the only state oil monopoly, has reduced the price of petrol by Rs 2 per liter.
With the reduction in the price, petrol will now cost Rs 156.5 per liter in Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, Birgunj, Bhalbari (first category), Rs 158 in Surkhet and Dang (second category) and Rs 159 per liter in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal, according to the press note issued by the NOC.
This new price of petrol will take effect from Thursday morning.
However, the price of kerosene and diesel remains unchanged.
Earlier, the price of petrol was Rs 158.5 per liter in the first category, Rs 160 in the second category and Rs 161 in the third category.
The new price adjustment was made according to the new price list sent by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
