Bipin Kumar Acharya has been elected as the General Secretary of Rastriya Swatantra Party Party (RSP).
Acharya was elected with 638 votes. His rivals Manish Jha got 324 votes, Ganesh Karki 164 votes, and Sagar Dhakal 128 votes.
Ranju Darshana, who announced her withdrawal of candidacy in support of Acharya, also received 34 votes.
Acharya has said that after being elected, he will lead the party as a united front.
He told media persons, “Now, the focus will be on taking forward the Leadership Academy and Candidate Club related to local elections,” he said.
Acharya also praised candidate Manish Jha.
“He has also given the good news of my victory to the media, considering my victory as his own,” he said. “This shows how much importance he attaches to relationships and how much he loves the party.”
