CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli and former Prime Minister of Nepal, KP Sharma Oli, has said that there are still many leaders and cadres who want to see him at the party leadership.
In an interaction with editors held in Koteshwar on Sunday, Oli mentioned that he is physically sound and capable of leading.
"If I don’t take the lead, another captain will emerge," Oli said, "Many leaders and cadres in the party still want KP Oli to lead the party."
Oli said, "I have the ability to work and I am physically sound. President Donald Trump,79, is ruling in America. Narendra Modi, incumbent Prime Minister of India, is 76 years old. I am only 73," Oli added.
Oli also claims that China and Russia are led by much older leaders. "In Russia, a person who is seven months younger than me is steering such a powerful country," Oli said, "Chinese President Xi Jinping is one and a half years younger than me. This is a matter of the needs of the country and the party."
