Prime Minister Sushila Karki has called upon all parties to embrace the upcoming election as a national festival, participate in it, and make it successful.
Extending best wishes on the occasion of Chhath festival on Monday morning, Prime Minister Karki appealed to one and all to get their stands or dissatisfactions, if any, approved through the House of Representatives election on coming March 5.
"Street protests alone are not the solution to all problems. The best democratic method is to peacefully present any stands or dissatisfactions you have, win the hearts of the general public, and get them ratified through the election," she said in her well-wishing message. "For this reason, I call upon all sides to embrace the upcoming election as a national festival, participate in it, and make it successful."

छठको शुभकामना सूर्यको आराधनासाथ मनाइने महान् पर्व छठको अवसरमा सबैलाई शुभकामना। सत्य, अहिंसा र प्रकृति प्रेममा अभिप्रेरित गर्ने यस पर्वले हामी नेपालीको सांस्कृतिक र सामाजिक रूपमा समेत तराई-पहाड जोड्ने सेतु बनिरहेको छ।
पवित्र आस्था, कठिन व्रत र सिंगारिएका नदी तथा तलाउका किनारा र त्यहाँका उत्सवले दिने शक्तिले सबैमा सद्भाव र खुसीयाली छाओस्। छठसहित हाम्रा चाडपर्वहरु हाम्रो सामाजिक एकता, सद्भाव र भ्रातृत्वका मानक पनि हुन्।
अहिलेको अवस्थामा हामी सबै नेपालीबीच अझै बढी एकता र सद्भावको खाँचो छ। जेनजी आन्दोलनपछि उत्पन्न परिस्थितिलाई सामान्यीकरण गर्दै आउँदो फागुन २१ गते प्रतिनिधि सभाको निर्वाचन सम्पन्न गर्नुपर्ने दायित्व हामीमाथि छ। सबै पक्षले परिस्थितिको संवेदनशीलता र आआफ्नो जिम्मेवारीको बोध गर्दै निर्वाचन सफल पार्न जुट्नुपर्ने बेला छ।
सडक प्रदर्शन मात्र सबै समस्याको समाधान होइन। आफ्ना कुनै अडान वा असन्तुष्टि छन् भने पनि शान्तिपूर्ण तवरले राखी आमजनताको मन जितेर निर्वाचनबाट अनुमोदित गराउनु लोकतन्त्रको सर्वोत्तम विधि हो।
यसनिम्ति पनि आगामी निर्वाचनलाई पनि एक राष्ट्रिय अनुष्ठानका रूपमा ग्रहण गरी त्यसमा सहभागी हुन र सफल बनाउन सबै पक्षलाई आह्वान गर्दछु।
