An aircraft of Shree Airlines that took off from Biratnagar Airport for Kathmandu spent one hour and 38 minutes in the sky and returned to Biratnagar after it could not land in Kathmandu due to bad weather.
The Shree Airlines aircraft, with the flight number 732 returned to Biratnagar itself after it could not land at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu and due to due bad weather, Nepali Congress leader Gururaj Ghimire, who was onabord the aircraft.
The problem occurred due to bad weather in Kathmandu while it was trying to land.
After the aircraft landed in Biratnagar, Ghimire wrote on Social Media Platform Facebook, "Shree Airlines Flight 732, which departed from Biratnagar Airport, was unable to land in Kathmandu due to bad weather and returned to Biratnagar one hour and 38 minutes after its initial takeoff."
The airlines company has also confirmed that the aircraft diverted to Biratnagar after it could not land in Kathmandu.
The Biratnagar Airport Office has said that the aircraft could not at TIA in Kathmandu due to poor visibility and returned to Biratnagar. The rain has been occurring in the Kathmandu Valley since last Wednesday night.
