Nepal has set a 272-run target for USA in the ODI tri-series match of the ICC Men's World Cup League 2 underway in UAE.
Invited to bat first after losing the toss at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai on Saturday, Nepal notched up 271 runs losing all wickets in 49.5 overs.

Dipendra Singh Airee topped the score with 75 runs including 2 fours and 3 sixes off 67 deliveries. Similarly, Karan KC scored 49 runs including 2 fours and 3 sixes off 31 balls followed by Kushal Bhurtel, Bhim Sarki and captain Rohit Paudel with 47, 43 and 36 runs, respectively. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.
On the bowing side, Harmeet Singh took the highest 3 wickets while Saurabh Netravalkar and Nosthush Kenjige grabbed 2 wickets each. Similarly, Shubham Ranjane and Jasdeep Singh claimed 1 wicket each for USA.
In the previous match held on October 26, Nepal lost to USA by 106 runs. Led by Rohit Paudel, the Nepali national cricket team is coached by former Australian cricket Stuart Law.

Having now played 18 matches in League 2, Nepal and UAE are in the bottom two positions of the points table. Nepal stands in the 7th position with 12 points while UAE is in 8th position with 8 points. Having played 22 matches, USA leads the points table with 32 points so far.
