President Ramchandra Paudel has left for Qatar to attend the Second World Summit for Social Development to be held in Doha.
President Paudel is leading the Nepali delegation at the United Nations World Summit to be held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on November 4-6 at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, the Qatari Ambassador to Nepal, high-ranking government officials, and security chiefs reached the Tribhuvan International Airport to bid farewell to President Paudel. A contingent of the Nepali Army offered a guard of honor to the President.

President Paudel is scheduled to address the main session of the ‘Second World Summit for Social Development’ in Doha on November 4, which is being held following a decision by the United Nations General Assembly.
During the summit, President Paudel is also expected to hold meetings with the Emir of Qatar and the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, among others.
