Mayor Bhattarai sets up revolving fund in memory of mother

Mayor of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi municipality, Tirtha Raj Bhattarai, and his family members have established a revolving fund in memory of their mother late Padam Kumari Bhattarai.

Mayor Bhattarai and his family members set up 'Guna-Laxmi-Padam Kumari Revolving Fund-2082' at Bidyodaya Secondary School located at Dorpacheuridanda with an objective of helping for the development of education sector. Chairperson of the School Management Committee, Saharman Rai, said total Rs 202,222 was deposited in the revolving fund in the first-phase.

Padam Kumari, a mother of seven children, passed away on Kartik 16, 2081 BS at the age of 88. Mayor Bhattarai mentioned that the revolving fund was established with an objective of helping students studying in a school at their locality. The interest amount received from revolving fund would be spent for prize distribution and educational activities annually, according to the school.
