Fourteen Nepali nationals have been repatriated to Nepal after their rescue from Myanmar.

The Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok rescued 14 Nepali citizens from Myawady in Myanmar with the help of Myanmar and Thai authorities before being repatriated to Nepal today.

They were brought to Nepal on a flight number RA 402 of Nepal Airlines Corporation, according to the Foreign Ministry.

Lured to Myawady in Myanmar with promises of lucrative jobs, they were only to be forced to work in online scamming.

According to the Nepali Embassy, 11 more Nepalis are still stranded in Myawady.

The Nepal government has urged Nepalis not to go for foreign employments in South East Asian countries including Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand without labor permits.
