Ncell and MetLife Nepal have announced a groundbreaking partnership to launch ‘Data Sangai Jeevan Beema’, an innovative offering that integrates mobile data with life and critical illness insurance protection.

This first-of-its-kind initiative is set to significantly advance financial inclusion and social protection in Nepal by making insurance accessible to a wider community of Ncell customers.

The new product features two specially designed packages. The Rs. 99 Pack (including taxes) offers 100MB of data (valid for three days) bundled with Rs. 200,000 in term life insurance and Rs. 200,000 in critical illness insurance, with the coverage valid for 30 days.

Alternatively, the Rs. 39 Pack provides 100MB of data (three-day validity) coupled with Rs. 50,000 in term life insurance and Rs. 50,000 in critical illness coverage, also valid for 30 days. Customers can easily subscribe to their preferred package and complete the digital onboarding process through the Ncell App or by dialing *123*4*6#. Term life insurance coverage begins instantly upon subscription, while critical illness coverage is subject to a 30-day waiting period.

Ncell's Chief Consumer Business Officer, Upanga Dutta, emphasized that the collaboration is a social commitment that extends insurance coverage to the wider Nepali community at a micro level, creating value and positivity for customers.

Arun Bahadur Basnet, Chief Distribution Officer of MetLife Nepal, highlighted that the partnership ensures protection is a right, offering "longer term peace of mind" through a small, short-term data purchase. "At MetLife Nepal, we believe protection is a right, not a privilege. This partnership means that, for the first time, a small, short-term data purchase can give you and your family longer term peace of mind," said Basnet.
