Newly appointed IGP Karki conferred with insignia

The Insignia has been conferred on newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dan Bahadur Karki.

Home Secretary Rameshwar Dangal conferred the insignia on IGP Karki amidst a ceremony organized at the Ministry of Home Affairs in Singha Durbar. 

Officials of the security agencies were present during the ceremony. Now, Karki will go to the Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal, and take charge of his office.

The post was lying vacant after IGP Chandra Kuber Khapung retired on the ground of 30-year age limit.

Karki will, now, take the helm of the Nepal Police for 29 months.
