The Election Commission (EC) has set January 20 for candidates to register for the First-Past-The-Post (FPTP) seats in the House of Representatives (HoR) elections.
A meeting of the EC, while finalizing the electoral schedule today, took a decision to this effect.
Following the Gen Z uprising on September 8-9, the then KP Sharma Oli-led government was overthrown and an interim government was formed under the leadership of former Chief Justice Sushila Karki.
This government has been mandated to hold elections on March 5.
