The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced that the preparations for the Nepal Premier League (NPL) are now complete. The NPL is scheduled to start on Monday, November 17.
This is the second edition of the NPL, which will be played under floodlights, and spectators will watch the matches from the parapet.
A stadium with a 10,000-seat capacity parapet has been prepared at Tribhuvan University.

The Federal Secretariat Construction and Management Office under the Ministry of Urban Development has handed over the installed floodlights and parapet at the TU Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur to CAN.
The floodlights were handed over to CAN after the Minister for Urban Development, Kulman Ghising, inaugurated them on Sunday evening.
Currently, two generators have been installed for the floodlights. The opening match will feature the defending champions, Janakpur Bolts, and the Kathmandu Gurkhas.

Out of the 32 matches in the NPL, 23 will be played under floodlights, while the remaining nine matches will be day games. The 28 league matches, however, will be played as day-night matches. The four matches after the league stage will be played under floodlights.
