Chitwan Rhinos has defeated Karnali Yaks by 4 wickets in the second match of the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Chasing the 167-run target set by Karnali, Chitwan reached it in 19.1 overs losing 6 wickets.
Ravi Bopara topped the score with 52 runs including 3 fours and 3 sixes off 36 balls. Similarly, Deepak Bohara, Saif Zaib and Kushal Malla scored 42, 38 and 20 runs, respectively. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.
In reply, Sompal Kami took the highest 2 wickets while Unish Singh, Mark Watt and Yuvraj Khatri grabbed 1 wicket each.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Tuesday, Karnali notched up 166 runs losing three wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Priyank Panchal topped the score with 90 runs studded with 7 fours and 6 sixes off 48 balls followed by Pawan Sarraf with 27 runs while Max O'Dowd and Mark Watt contributed 20 and 16 runs, respectively. The other batsmen could not score significant runs.
In reply, Sohail Tanvir, Saif Zaib and Ravi Bopara took 1 wicket each for Chitwan.
