NPL 2025: Biratnagar sets mammoth 221-run target for Pokhara

Biratnagar Kings has set a mammoth target of 221 runs for Pokhara Avengers in the third match of the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL).

Invited to bat first after losing the toss at the TU International Cricket Ground on Tuesday, Biratnagar notched up 220 runs losing 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Lokesh Bam topped the score with 72 runs including 1 four and 7 sixes off 48 deliveries followed by Martin Guptill with 61 runs. Guptill hit 3 fours and 5 sixes off 35 balls. Similarly, Shubham Ranjane and Basir Ahamad and Narayan Joshi contributed 38, 23 and 11 runsl, respectively. The other batsmen could achieve significant runs.

On the bowling side, Matt Taylor took the highest 2 wickets giving away 48 runs in 4 overs while Askash Chand, Sagar Dhakal and Kushal Bhurtel grabbed 1 wicket each for Pokhara.
