Kathmandu Gorkhas and former runners-up Sudurpaschim Royals are locking their horns in the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) today.
Kathmandu will be aiming for a happy start as they are looking for their second win. Kathmandu defeated the former champions Janakpur Bolts in the opening match.
Kathmandu is being led by Karan KC today. The team led by KC includes Bhim Sarki, Mohammad Adil Alam, Shahab Alam, Ben Charlesworth, Gerhard Erasmus, Dipesh Kandel, Milind Kumar, Rashid Khan, Uttam Thapa Magar (wicketkeeper), Sunny Patel, John Simpson (wicketkeeper), Prateek Shrestha, Akash Tripathi, Tul Bahadur Thapa, Ricardo Vasconcelos (wicketkeeper), Santosh Yadav and Sonu Devkota.
Similarly, Sudurpaschim Royals are being captained by Dipendra Singh Airee, who is also the vice-captain of the Nepali national team. The team led by him includes Binod Bhandari (wicketkeeper), Abhinash Bohara, Deepak Bohara (wicketkeeper), Milan Bohara, Josh Brown, Hemanta Dhami, Scott Kuggeleijn, Chris Lynn, Ishan Pandey, Tek Rawat (wicketkeeper), Naren Saud, Harmit Singh, Arif Sheikh, Dipendra Thapa (wicketkeeper) and Himmat Mahara.
Kathmandu is coached by former Nepali national team coach Monty Desai and the coach of Sudurpaschim is Jagat Tamata. Eight teams are participating in the tournament organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) since November 17.
